Optical frequency comb installed
Installation and testing of the optical frequency comb system was successfully completed on November 29, 2021.
It is an ultra low noise optical frequency comb by MenloSystems that will be used in the Laboratory for Quantum Simulators and Sensors. Aside from the basic unit (femtosecond oscillator), the laser system also includes supercontinuum units in the visible and near-infrared spectral region, and units for creating an output spectrum tuned to 689 nm and 698 nm.
